Christmas
Host a Christmas word game with 24 original phrases, clues, a six-puzzle running order and winter alternatives for mixed groups.
Choose six phrases, keep the answers on your own screen and invite the group to solve a shared letter board. The first bank uses familiar objects, the second adds party phrases, and the third contains silly original scenes. The last six cards offer winter alternatives when a Christmas theme does not suit everyone.
Ask about the group's preferred theme before choosing the round. No one needs to know song lyrics, a particular film or a family's traditions. These are custom party puzzles, not answers from television episodes.
Plan about 15–20 minutes, with the last two puzzles held in reserve if discussion runs long. This is a suggested schedule, not a game timer. Use the game's normal scores; a longer answer does not automatically receive a separate bonus. See how scoring and turns work before you host.
Use these as a complete general winter round or replace specific Christmas cards. Winter weather varies by location, so let the group choose cozy indoor or snowy outdoor prompts.
Write the answer's word lengths on paper. For gift tag, show 4 + 3. First announce Gift Wrapping, then read the clue, then reveal G if the group still needs help. Let everyone think before accepting a solve. Use a new sheet for the next answer so previous letters do not confuse the board.
This version works cooperatively without scores. In Fortunate Wheel, use the normal letter board and give extra spoken hints yourself; there is no automatic clue-ladder mode.
Give pairs three ingredients: an object, an unexpected action and a plain-language clue. An original example is The mitten ordered cocoa, with the clue “A winter hand covering asks for a warm drink.” Say Silly Scenes before anyone solves it. Reject private jokes that only the author can explain.
Have a second person read the clue and confirm the exact answer before entering it. Keep invented sentences short, use ordinary spelling, and avoid answers differing only by a small word. For an established wordplay pattern, try the explained before-and-after puzzles.
For an office gathering, confirm participant-device capacity before invitations go out. A shared room screen and participants joining on their own devices are different parts of the setup.
Choose a few answers from this resource, then add each answer, category and clue in the manual game editor. Review the board before hosting. These examples are a preparation sheet; the button opens game creation and does not automatically import the list.
Participants join in a browser with a room code. Choose team or individual play when launching. Free accounts can save up to three games and host up to three participant devices; check current plan limits before inviting a larger group.
Any discussion prompts, lesson timings and extra scoring suggested here are instructions for the host to run. They are not automatic grading features.
